RERA Public Notice 26 Dec 2019

All the promotors/Developers/Builders in the State of Kerala are hereby informed that from 1st January 2020, they shall not advertise, market, book, sell or offer for sale or invite persons to purchase or transfer of any plot, apartment or building in ‘Real Estate project’, as defined in Sec. 2(zn) of the Kerala Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 having more than eight apartments/units or the land proposed to the developed being more than 500 SqM, without obtaining prior registration from the Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority as required under Section 3 of the Act and Rule 3 of the Kerala Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2018, failing which such promotors will become liable to be penalised as per Section 59 of the Act.

 

All the ‘Real Estate Agents’, as defined in Sec. 2(zm) of the Act, are also hereby informed that they shal not facilitate the sale or purchase of or act on behalf of any person to facilitate the sale or purchase of any plot, apartment or building, as the case may be, in a real estate project or part of it, being the part of the real estate project registered/registerable under section 3 of the Act, being sold by the promotor in Kerala without obtaining registration as required under Section 9 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 and Rule 11 of the Kerala Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Rules, 2018 failing which such Real Estate Agents will become liable to be penalized as per Section 65 of the Act.

 

All the Allottees/Buyers are hereby informed that they should verify whether the project is registered with the Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority and they should also verify whether the Real Estate Agent, if any, dealing with them is registered with the Kerala Real Estate Regulatory Authority.

 

Any persons coming across any such said violations may inform the Authority by reporting such violations through the Email id info.rera@kerala.gov.in or in writing.
